      DANCE
This started out as a photo taken at an electricity substation near Nottingham. When I turned the original photo clockwise 90 degrees, it reminded me of a drawing (that still hangs above my desk at home) sent to me by National Lampoon artist Randy Enos back in the mid-70's: a lesson in cartooning, with his trademark "Chicken Gutz" characters - the bird perched one-legged atop the man's stovepipe hat, in much the same pose as my dancers above. (Arrow pointing to bird's "knee": "Birds' legs do not bend here, this is done for humor...") This is the one photo that has a permanent home on my bulletin board at work, and it always makes me smile, just like Randy's cartoon. It was a "Top 100" pick at PhotoBlink.com in September 2001. Taken in August 2001 with an Olympus 3040.
